Special Notice from the Editor of The Presidential Prayer Team for Kids. 

It’s summer, and lots of things slow down a bit during this season!   
 
Unfortunately, donations to The Presidential Prayer Team, our parent organization, have been drastically down in recent weeks.  This has created a very troubling shortage of funds for PPT and PPT for Kids.  This shortage is causing us to make some cutbacks in our staff which will affect PPK! 

So, for now, we won’t be writing, developing or sending any new PPK updates.   

We want you to be sure to keep on praying for the President and the nation, however!  Remember to lift him up in prayer every day, because that’s what kids who pray do!  We pray in obedience to the words of the Apostle Paul in I Timothy 2:1-2:  “Pray this way for…kings and all those in authority.”  As Rev. Lloyd Ogilvie said, “The greatest act of patriotism is prayer.” 

There are some other really good things you can do too. 

  1. Have fun checking out the PPK Archives. You can learn a lot of things from the archives—they make a great way to keep learning over the summer! 
  2. Remember to visit the regular PPT weekly update website and read the daily prayer requests there.  You can pray for these concerns with your mom or dad or another friend. 
  3. Talk to your parents and see if they are willing to visit the PPT website and make a donation to the ministry.  When a person gives a gift to PPT, it goes right into PPK and helps make it happen! 
  4. Sign up for our Adopt Our Troops in Prayer effort.  It’s a great effort that has made possible over 1 million adoptions in prayer of members of our military.  No matter how you feel about what’s happening in Iraq, you definitely know how important it is to pray for the brave men and women who serve our nation and our President through military service.   

Finally, we ask you from the bottom or our hearts to pray with us that many Americans will remember again the importance of a team that prays for the President, regardless of his or her popularity or political affiliation.  Pray with us that our financial needs will be met so The Presidential Prayer Team for Kids can continue its important mission of encouraging kids to pray and teaching them about prayer and the godly heritage of our nation.
